GermanAssistant (formerly known as Umlaut Assistant) is a tiny applet to help you in entering into your document the special German characters on non-German keyboards or keyboard support. Hence, an improperly spelled Mueller with a click of a mouse becomes Müller, Schroeder becomes Schröder and strasse becomes straße.

GermanAssistant provides an unobtrusive German characters add-on toolbar equipped with extraordinary AutoPaste feature that sits on top of your screen and seamlessly integrates with any word processing software. Using it is simple and easy - just click on the desired character to copy it into Clipboard and let the AutoPaste option paste it automatically at cursor of your active word processor, e-mail client or any other text-input-capable target. Delivered as a single EXE without installer with a Help file inside it and is well documented even for a beginner. Ready to run from a writable portable medium.
