S. Kee Nethery III, Founder and CEO

Kee founded Kagi in September 1994. As the developer for the initial Kagi systems, Kee pioneered one of the very few ecommerce sites on the web that began and remains strong in the international arena. Kee has cultivated Kagi as a much-needed alternative channel to support original digital content for both entrepreneurial and mid-tier clients. Prior to founding Kagi, Kee was already an accomplished software programmer. From 1981 to 1986, Kee worked as a Process Control System Engineer with Chevron USA. As a product marketer for Apple from 1994 to 1995, he specified and delivered Apple's first internet server, the Apple Internet Server Solution for the Web. He founded and ran Kagi Engineering from July 1988 to June 1994, where he designed and optimized large AppleTalk networks. Kee holds three patents and has published numerous technical magazine articles. He holds a BSEE from Texas A&M University.

Ty Shipman, Chief Technology Officer

Ty Shipman joined Kagi in August 1997 when his computer consulting company, SoftEdge, was merged into Kagi. Ty brings considerable technical expertise to Kagi in the areas of database support and software security. Prior to founding SoftEdge as a full-time enterprise, Ty worked as Director of Foreign Data Services for Blyth Software From 1991 to 1992. From 1988 to 1991, he worked at Sybase as 3GL Group Lead Analyst and Senior Lead Engineer for the Macintosh product line. Ty is proficient in numerous programming languages, operating systems and development environments. He holds a BA, with honors, from UC Berkeley.

Vicki Thomas, Chief Operations Officer

Vicki joined Kagi in September of 2005. Her 30 year career includes 14 years in product management for software, technology and financial services companies. She has experience in entrepreneurial, mid-tier and Fortune 500 companies. Work initiatives have ranged from the tactical to the strategic, including product specification, merger and partnership analysis, new markets analysis and new business design and development. Prior to joining Kagi, Vicki held product management positions at Aspect Communications, RSI Group, and Automatic Data Processing. Earlier in her career, Vicki was Vice President of a new business unit at Systems Tax Service, and a major account representative and technical manager for ADP. She holds a BA from George Washington University.

Brad Adams, Director

As a 16 year veteran at Netopia, Adams brings valuable insight to Kagi's board. Currently the Director of Technical Support and Quality Assurance for Netopia, Adams has experience managing all areas of customer and technical support for computer software products and networking solutions. Adams holds a BS degree from Texas A&M University.
