Outsourcing Your Online Store
Realizing Your Product Dreams

It started with an inspiration. It turned into a new product that you’re passionate about. Now you’re wondering how to sell it online.

Or, you’ve got great products that sell successfully today. But, you know that sales would increase if you could also sell through the Internet. What’s your next step?

Or, you believe your product will sell across the world. In fact, you invested in internationalizing the product. How do you reach global markets?

Or, you have an online store today. But costs are rising and sales have not kept pace. How can you advance to a more successful online store while reducing costs?

The answer for many current or would-be online store owners is outsourcing. And just as your product ideas matured or you outgrew your first online experiences, so too has outsourcing. A patchwork of services from a variety of vendors no longer meets the needs of online stores today. Consequently, end-to-end solutions have emerged that enable a store owner to outsource the entire back office processing for the online store without giving up control or sacrificing profit.

At Kagi, we provide a fully integrated solution in an affordable package. We can incubate the novice or meet the tough demands of mature online businesses. We provide the order page and shopping cart software, infrastructure, payment processing, security and service. Your online store is fully featured all in a secure, worldwide, 24/7 operation at an affordable price.

Understanding your markets, products, sourcing, development or manufacture makes your products unique and makes you successful. So why do you need to understand and manage the back office processing for each part of your online store too? The answer is you don’t because at Kagi we do it for you. And since we share the expertise and cost across the entire Kagi Store Owner community, you don’t bare the brunt of the costs either.

Let’s take an example. Accepting credit cards online is an important capability for some of your sales. You can set up this capability yourself following these steps:

  • Select and set-up the Merchant Account Bank (MAB) to accept credit cards
  • Install the Internet Secure Gateway (ISG) to the MAB
  • Ensure your hosting capacity is sufficient
  • Ensure your website has a secure name certificate for secure connections
  • Meet the security requirements of the ISG
  • Install the shopping cart software and customize your order pages
  • Provide the buy button that serves as a trigger point to the ISG
  • Handle returns and chargebacks, including forced reversals from the banks
  • Respond quickly to customer calls about their credit card charges
  • Ensure you have adequate fraud prevention to assure your customers that you are protecting them against credit card fraud
  • Understand and implement correct collection and remittance of taxes.

Additionally, you will need several Merchant Banks since each represents a particular credit card, usually Visa and MasterCard, in a single currency. To have your site accept a comprehensive list of credit cards and currencies, you must separately set up many relationships, pay the fees, maintain the rules and understand the minimums for each.

The same complexities are present across each phase of the online store set-up. You will need flexibility in the tie-in from your website to your order pages. Or, you may want to forgo the website and have the order pages be your website.

Your order pages may need to follow your unique merchandising yet your software may limit your choices and restrict your capabilities. This sacrifices sales.

What about off-line sales? How will you handle corporate sales with purchase orders?

Yes, it can all be handled but solutions that fail to integrate all aspects of the buying experience, place a financial and capabilities burden on you. Incomplete online shopping services are not real solutions at all. Why choose separate solutions that provide a few pieces of the process when you need the order pages, shopping cart, hosting, payment processing, and internationalization already integrated? What are you losing in lower sales and higher fees?

At Kagi, complete solutions make it all easy, affordable and fast. It gives you the freedom to realize your product dreams. It maximizes your sales potential while reducing both your upfront and ongoing expenses.

You can take the next step in online sales and online stores through outsourcing. That’s why at Kagi we say we “unlock your online store’s potential,” and we can do it for you too.
